Peer help !!

In class today I got some insight into what my peers thought about my own plans and ideas they had to help me tie it all together, overall it was helpful and I hope to use their thoughts and input to draw inspiration for a creation that I am really excited to pursue.

Remember how I said that I wanted it to be about a famous girl who was realizing she wasn't enjoying her life anymore, well they helped me take it a step farther and suggested that she have fallen into drug abuse and inevitably ended up in a rehab center. I don't really know how I feel about this because it is sooo cliche, like we always here things in the news about famous people falling into drug abuse and whatever so I am not totally sold.

We all did agree on one thing that I really like is that it should be shifting and cutting to and from a scene of the actor getting ready to do her photoshoot or her interview to shots of her in therapy/rehab/ or giving a speech.

They liked my idea of little to no dialogue and they thought that it would be a good idea to have a different type of dialogue like they did in the new Netflix series "You." To explain if you have never seen the movie it goes like this.

Actor 1: Hi sir how was your day?
Actor 2: Good.
Voice over / narration: Bad.

It shows what the character really wants to say but it is not necessarily a constant running voice over and it doesn't give background or context or anything like that.

A lot of their ideas I couldn't really picture or it just wouldn't quite click in my head. Like when I tried to think it out it just wouldn't add up. Don't get me wrong they did have good ideas but nothing that really clicked with my creative vision if you get me.

If I am going to be honest, I am not in love with these ideas, but I do see it leading into something else hopefully that I will be in love with. Having said that I am looking forward to the next peer sharing activity that we do because I liked helping my peers and bouncing ideas off of them, although the ones that I got just didn't quite work for me, I feel like they will next time.

I of course as always will continue keeping you updated as I go through this process so stay tuned for my next post.

Lots of love,
Lina

P.S. I am going to start saying LOL instead of Lots of Love ;)
