final updates;/

Bensound's Royalty Free Music comes to the rescue!!!

I found this awesome website with a bunch of free royalty free music, for my piece I will be using three songs that I found on here:
- "A day to remember" : This is the very first piece of music used while the shots of San Fransisco are being shown along with the title and the credits.
- "Summer" : For this piece it goes along with the scene of the photoshoot.
- "Better days" : This track is played during the scene of my actress crying and waking up and getting out of bed to begin getting ready again.

last day of filming, like actually!

Hey guys,

Our journey together is coming to an end,

Today we filmed our last two scenes, the photoshoot scene and the new added bonus scene of Nicole crying in the closet! I am really happy to say the least about how they both came out. It's currently 10:30 at night, we filmed from 4-7 and I have been uploading the videos and clearing the storage ever since. So far seeing the footage I am hoping that it is going to fix what was so unsettling to me about the last draft because I want to be proud of this piece. I made a vlog of our day filming but honestly giving the circumstances with how many videos I have to go through and edit I am just not so sure if I will be able to get around to that  but if I do I will place it in this blog post.

During the filming process today I wanted to capitalize on my genre conventions (drama) I used lots of camera movements, close ups, over the shoulder shots, etc. I can't wait to edit it all together because I got some really cool shots today. Additionally, a while back if you remember, I included a blog fully dedicated to what her makeup would be for the photoshoot I was imagining and today that vision came to life! I spent a while doing her makeup but I am really quite happy with the finished product and also I gave her an eyeliner cat eye and the wing came out extra amazing in the shots without me even thinking of it.

I am not going to lie, all my high expectations were not immediately reached when I got to my friends house who claimed he had a bunch of camera equipment to make this scene look like my actress was a real model in a real photoshoot. But as you guys already know thus far I am not one to give up so easily, I may have been a pain and made him do a bunch of extra stuff but the end for sure justified the means at this point.

Her outfit: I went into my closet and grabbed all of my most fancy signature pieces that I use for photoshoots on my own free-time and me and Nicole mixed and matched until we got a cool combo and I picked out one of my chokers for her, a pair of sunglasses, boots, a black long sleeve, and a put her hair in a high ponytail with a scrunchie- each extra touch added so much to it. I was so pleased with the way the outfit came out it looks like it would be in a real photoshoot and I want to use this outfit! I would include a photo but I want you guys to be surprised when you watch my film opening :)

- Update: I just looked through all of the vlogging videos, and wow I can talk up a storm you really don't wanna hear all that.

Lina

I LIED LOL

So I actually wasn't done with filming nor editing:)

I have to say that not only am I not happy with my piece but to add to the pile I have also began writing my CCR and thinking about how I will portray it.

I'm really stressed to say the very least here.

I literally refuse to turn in a piece that I'm not proud of.

Things I am going to change:

- get rid of the shot that is on top of her in the bathroom
- move "starring Nicole Svensson"
- more shots of intimacy more shots that follow her
- get rid of entire therapy part
- cut the tracking shot of her going to the bathroom so it doesn't go up her leg
- introduce dialogue right when we show her face
- Shot of her going to the bathroom from when she wakes up
- I actually am going to add a therapist and redo the whole therapy scene because I hate it.
- Redo shot of her walking to bathroom
- add photoshoot
- maybe more, we'll see

The only thing I can promise is staying is all of the footage I filmed of San Fransisco.
Keep checking back for my next post if you want to stay informed!

I FINISHED FILMING

You heard me right, all done! I spent the whole entire day filming and then went straight to editing!

As expected, it feels amazing. My film is coming together and thankfully I found perfect royalty free music:)

You should know that a few things have changed:

1. I deemed having a therapist unnecessary.
2. She lives in San Fran so the last shot in the city is supposed to represent the apartment she lives in.
3. Since she lives alone in San Fran instead of a nice and wealthy looking setting I picked more of an urban teenage/ young adult apartment set up. Especially with the tapestries on the wall, the cluttered bathroom, and walk in closet/ wooden floors.

SO below I am including some pictures of the filming process! For this one shot I tried a couple different ways to record her using my camera from above but I couldn't get just what I wanted until I grabbed a ladder and stood on it LOL, you'll see the product of me standing on the ladder in the last pic! I am so happy with the way this shot turned out.

^I tried going on her back for this perspective shot but my lens zoomed in too close and I wasn't liking the way it was coming out.
^After many attempts the ladder was the perfect solution:)
^The final view for the shot:)

I already uploaded all the videos to my computer which took a hundred million years, found a royalty free piece of music to use, added the title along with all the credits, and edited all of the pieces together PLUS adjusted colors/contrasts in each clip! Let's just say today was a really productive day  for my piece.
